SC stays trial in Gzb court, may shift it outside UP
Investigation into the multi-crore provident fund scam has yielded evidence against 24 judges of subordinate and higher judiciary besides six others who have already been chargesheeted in the case.

NEW DELHI: This is the biggest ever indictment of the country's judiciary. An extensive CBI probe into the fradulent withdrawal of Rs 6.58 crore from the provident fund accounts of class III and IV employees in the Ghaziabad district court, has found a former Supreme Court judge along with 23 other sitting and retired judges of Allahabad High Court and lower court judges guilty of misdemeanour.

Article 370 is a blot on the secular credentials of the Indian Constitution. This separatist and potentially secessionist provision was Jawaharlal Nehru's personal gesture to Sheikh Abdullah. Although Nehru hoped that the provision would eventually outlive its purpose, seven dacades after independence from colonial rule, it has only served to aggravate Muslim separatism and has become a core tenet of politics of minority-ism.
