An NGO working for the survivors of Bhopal gas tragedy on Monday said it will approach the Supreme Court, seeking a probe against former CJI AM Ahmadi, who was also the Chairman of the BMHT. Welcoming the SCs acceptance of the former CJIs resignation, convener of the Bhopal Gas Peedit Mahila Udyog Sangathan Convenor Abdul Jabbar said, "We will move the SC to seek an inquiry against Ahmadi under whose chairmanship massive irregularities were committed in the BMHT."
According to Jabbar , Ahmadi had built a swanky house at Anandpur in Gurgaon district and the source of money for it needed to be probed.
Jabbar said that he wanted to know whether Rs 50-crore imported equipment brought to BMHT were still with it. He said 30 vacancies in the BMHT had been filled without being advertised. The activist said the drug trials have been carried out in the BMHT without taking patients approval between 2005 and 2008.
